The HR Management has promoted a series of training initiatives designed to foster professional growth and promote its culture and values within the Group. Once a year, structured training programs are made available through Guaber Campus. Training opportunities are developed after carefully analyzing the professional needs of each individual business unit. In particular, Guaber Campus wishes to support the growth of the Group by focusing on three main policies: internationalization, improving performance and cost sensitivity.
The Group also offers its employees several services like nurseries for working mothers, a club “Medardo Gualandi” where employees can meet their colleagues and relax, an integrative health service, an integrative pension fund and the free distribution of anti-flue vaccines.
Guaber Campus
“Guaber Campus” is an operational project that was specifically set-up to promote internal training opportunities, professional growth and the sharing of corporate philosophies and values. Training plans are scheduled once a year taking into account corporate needs and after carefully reviewing the training needs of all business units.
In particular, Guaber Campus wishes to support the growth of the Group by focusing on three main policies: internationalization, improving performance and cost sensitivity. Guaber believes that these three goals can specifically enhance working procedures and the professional environment. In order to further enhance its competitiveness at a global level, Guaber will also schedule training opportunities to improve the knowledge of English, create an integrated business vision and promote the development of a joint group identify.
Team Building
Once a year Guaber Campus organizes “Teambuilding”, a corporate regatta during which different teams challenge their skills both in Italy and in Europe.
This teambuilding activity aims at reinforcing and consolidating the collaboration between teams, which has always characterized Guaber, but has also gradually become a very popular event. The competition involves three days of intense sailing competitions among the Group managers. The vessels, which are named after the core brands of the Groups, explore crystal-clear water guided by teams that are selected among the business units following a transversal logic. The aim is to generate mutually shared experiences and encourage the principles of shared values and common objectives.
Nurseries
Guaber employs several women so it has spontaneously decided to support working mothers by creating a corporate nursery. The young guests, who the children of employees, spend their time socializing with their pals and playing under the supervision of qualified educators. The facility has been built by a company specialized in organic building materials and all rooms have been furnished to ensure maximum well-being, hygiene and safety. Meals are supplied by a qualified vendor and the menus are developed by qualified dieticians and controlled by the local health unit.
Corporate club
Corporate clubs are generally non-profit organizations set-up with the aim of creating, organizing and planning cultural, sports and social activities for the employees. However, Guaber's Medardo Gualandi Club does not subscribe to formal mission statements, but rather it adheres to the philosophy of leisure time intended as an opportunity to spend quality time together and to get to know one another better. This is the leading theme of all planned initiatives. Ideas are countless and enthusiasm abounding, but to fulfill the goals the club needs everyone's suggestions and participation. It is possible to join the Club at any time and avail of the special conditions offered to the club members.
Vaccinations
Guaber refunds the cost of the anti-flue vaccine to all its employees as a demonstration of their importance for the group.
Smoke quitting course (No Smoking Company)
Guaber believes it is important to protect the health of its employees at all levels. After the introduction of regulations that prohibit smoking outdoors, the company has decided to become a truly "non smoking company". This doesn't mean only prohibiting smoking in common areas and creating a special smoking area, but also undertaking a series of initiatives to curtail the problem. Guaber offers to all employees who wish to stop smoking a special course, organized in collaboration with local health units.
